Compliance officers, NLP researchers, and financial systems engineers who built Paragex to solve a problem they lived with firsthand.
Co-founder and CEO

Co-founder and CTO
Previously a principal NLP engineer at a legal tech firm where he built clause extraction models for M&A due diligence. Holds an M.S. in Computational Linguistics from Carnegie Mellon. Designed the transformer-based parsing architecture that achieves 97.3% clause extraction accuracy on regulatory texts.
Head of Compliance Products
GRC implementation consultant for 8 years at a Big Four firm, deploying Archer and ServiceNow frameworks at US and European financial institutions. Led the product requirements for Paragex's examination evidence package feature and integration partnerships with GRC platform vendors.
Every person at Paragex has direct working experience in compliance, NLP, or financial systems - not general tech background applied to a new domain. We hire slowly and expect high individual ownership.
Before building a feature, we talk to the compliance officer who will use it. Product decisions come from observed workflows, not assumed use cases. We spend time in bank compliance departments, not just reading requirements docs.
The team operates across San Francisco and New York. We meet in person quarterly for strategic planning and twice a year for full-team sprints. The rest is async-first with structured weekly standups per workstream.
